Move #2
Align Systems Around the Human-Centered Learning Journey

Build education and work systems so learning stays rooted in human development and connects to real opportunity and mobility

If learning follows a human journey, systems must follow too.

Learning follows people across life.
For systems to follow learning, three things must shift.

People
Educators as Guides

Learning is powered by people. Educators are critical to supporting the human learning journey.
Educators do the work technology can’t: cultivating purpose, agency, connection, and critical thinking.
When supported by technology like AI, they can focus more fully on what makes learning human.

Places
From Schools to Learning Hubs

Schools remain essential.
The opportunity is to open and connect them—alongside libraries, community spaces, and workplaces—into learning hubs, where educators serve as guides who cultivate purpose, connection, and growth. The infrastructure is largely in place.
What’s needed is the will to use it differently.

Passports
Learner-Owned/Operated Records

As people move through life, their learning should move with them. Learning passports capture skills, experiences, and growth across places and time—and belong to the learner, not institutions. They are credible, portable, and designed to open doors to opportunity, work, and continued learning.
